Get to know
kkumi.
We believe that collecting is decorating. It is inherently a creative hobby. Sorting your binders by member, by comeback, or by hair colour is already decorating, we just didn't want to stop there.
Right now, Kkumi is small, but we have big plans. We started in Perth, Australia, because the way we wanted to collect and decorate didn't really exist in Australia.
a note from the founder
how kkumi started.
안녕하세요! 제이입니다~
Hi! I'm Jay.
Kkumi started with a dream. No, I'm not making that up.
My partner Blaine had spent years creating decorated toploaders, photo frames, and scrapbook pages and I saw how difficult it was for them to find supplies.
Most collectors here end up gambling on marketplace sellers or waiting weeks for products to be shipped from overseas. You know the old saying: "Fast, cheap, good — pick two"? We wanted all three.
Every product gets designed, tested, and loved by us before it goes anywhere near a customer.
I looked everywhere, but there wasn't really anyone in Australia serving the market the way it deserved and the way that we wanted, so I decided to build the store we wished existed.
Kkumi is inspired by the Korean words 꾸미다 (kkumida), meaning "to decorate", and 꿈꾸다 (kkumkkuda), meaning "to dream". Collecting doesn't end when you pull a photocard, it continues as you organise, decorate, and dream about what your collection can become.

a note from the decorator
meet blaine.
Hi! ( ´ ▿ ` )
I've been decorating photocards and making decoden pieces for over three years, and for most of that time I was making do with whatever supplies I could find. Finding stickers that were both high-quality and matched across sheets so that they felt cohesive enough for a real project was hard.
When Jay told me about his idea for Kkumi, I already knew the problems that needed solving because I'd been dealing with them for years.
I'm the person asking "Would I actually buy this?"
Most deco supplies are sold as individual products that you hunt down from multiple sellers. Kkumi is designed as a system. If I pick up three different sticker sheets, I don't want them to feel like they came from three different stores. We wanted you to be able to pick almost anything in the store and trust that it'll work together.

✦ what we believe
the short version.
01
Decorating is part of collecting, not something separate from it.
02
Geography shouldn't be a tax on our hobby.
03
If we wouldn't use it on our own cards, we wouldn't sell it.
04
Every product has to be loved by us before it goes anywhere near a customer.
